A 41-year-old man has been charged with three counts of attempted murder after allegedly ramming a truck in Moose Jaw, then attacking one of the occupants with a bat.
According to police, officers were called to the intersection of Thatcher Drive East and Highway 1 just after 6 p.m. on Thursday where they found two badly damaged pickup trucks.
“Through investigation, it was determined that one of the pick-up trucks was traveling at a high rate of speed and intentionally rear-ended the other pick-up truck, which had three occupants within the vehicle,” the Moose Jaw Police Service explained in a statement.
“Following the collision the male assaulted the driver of the other vehicle with a baseball bat.”

The alleged attacker wasn’t named, but police said he was taken into custody ahead of a pending court appearance.
Police also put out a call for any footage of the alleged attack.
“We’re asking residents and businesses in the area with video footage of the collision to come forward to the Moose Jaw Police Service, as it may help the ongoing investigation,” police said.
