The driver of a pickup truck that ended up in the Shell River on Tuesday was treated for minor injuries, said Parkland Ambulance.
Buckland Fire and Rescue was called to the bridge on Highway 3 just after 5 p.m. for a water rescue, and called the Prince Albert Fire Department to bring out their water rescue team as a mutual aid call.
No information was given on what caused the truck to first collide with a street light, then damage the guardrail and drive into the river.
Traffic was stopped from using the bridge while the vehicle was pulled out of the water after Prince Albert firefighters hooked the pickup up to a tow truck’s rope.
