Police in Saskatoon are looking for a machete-wielding suspect after two people were sent to hospital on Friday.
While the alleged assaults happened on Friday, police released details to the media on Monday.
According to police, officers responding to a weapons call found the injured victim – a 30-year-old man – on Avenue O South just after 7 p.m. on Friday. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 35-year-old victim was subsequently found at a separate location on Avenue O, and was also taken to hospital.
Neither victim’s injuries were considered life-threatening, police noted.
“The suspect was reported to be wearing a black sweater and jeans and carrying a machete,” the police service said in a statement.
Woman walks to hospital after being stabbed on Sunday
In a separate incident from Sunday, a woman walked to the hospital after she was allegedly stabbed and robbed.
Police said the 20-year-old victim reported she was robbed of personal belongings and assaulted at her home on Avenue R South, but was able to make it to the hospital on foot for treatment.
Both incidents are under investigation by the police service’s Serious Assault Unit.
