A 48-year-old man has been charged after break-ins at assisted living facilities in Saskatoon late last year.
But despite four alleged break-ins at two separate facilities, the man only managed to steal items from a few parked cars.
Police said the charges date back to Dec. 2, when a man broke into an assisted living facility on Osler Street at around 4:40 a.m. He left, but returned about four hours later, police said, and broke in a second time.
“In both occurrences, he was confronted by staff and left without further incident,” police said.

In a separate incident on Jan. 27 of this year, police said the same man broke into a different assisted living facility, this one on Louise Street.
“Once inside, the suspect made his way to an underground parkade, accessed multiple unlocked vehicles, and stole an unknown amount of property,” police said.
The man came back to the second facility again on Feb. 19, and while police said he managed to break in, he wasn’t able to steal anything.
Police used video evidence to identify the man, and he was arrested and charged with break-and-enter, mischief and theft under $5,000.
