The La Ronge RCMP has charged three individuals in regards to a shooting on Sunday that left a man in serious condition in a Saskatoon hospital.
As a result of continued investigation, officers have charged 19-year-old Drayden Charles, 21-year-old Cameron Ratt and 24-year-old Jaron Halkett, all from La Ronge, with robbery with a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent, reckless discharge of a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm and ammunition knowingly without a licence and unlicensed possession of a firearm.
In addition, Charles is also charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition while prohibited and failing to comply with a probation order.
An RCMP manhunt led to RCMP and SWAT surrounding a residence in Bell’s Point on Monday, when Halkett and Ratt were arrested. Halkett is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on March 28, while Ratt is scheduled to appear on April 8.
A warrant has been issued for Charles’ arrest and police are actively working to locate him. Charles is described as approximately 5-foot-9 and 130 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
