A 22-year-old woman is facing a murder charge in connection with a death in the northern community of Patuanak.
According to the RCMP, officers were called to a home in Patuanak at around 1 a.m. on Friday, when they found 26-year-old Brandon Dawatsare suffering an injury.
Dawatsare was declared dead at the scene by paramedics, the Mounties said, and his family has been informed of his death.

Police said the death was considered suspicious, and RCMP Major Crimes began an investigation.
On Sunday, police said 22-year-old Brittany Bear was arrested in Prince Albert. She’s now facing a charge of second-degree murder in connection with Dawatsare’s death.
She’s scheduled to appear in a Meadow Lake courtroom on Monday, the Mounties said.
