A Saskatchewan livestock company has been ordered to pay $50,000 after a bull seriously injured a worker near Weyburn in 2022.
According to the Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety, Holdstock Livestock Ltd. was fined $35,714.29 along with a surcharge of $14,285.71 after pleading guilty to breaching Saskatchewan’s occupational health and safety regulations.

One other charge was withdrawn.
The ministry said the charges related to an incident on April 7, 2022 when a worker in the Weyburn area was charged and knocked to the ground by a bull.
