The RCMP is continuing its investigation into the death of 44-year-old Candie Pritchard.
In early February, the Mounties issued a release saying human remains had been found on the Red Pheasant Cree Nation. An autopsy identified the remains as those of Pritchard, who had been a resident of Rabbit Lake.
“The autopsy and continued police investigation has determined her death is suspicious,” the RCMP said in that release. “Investigators are releasing Candie’s name to help further their investigation.”
On Thursday, the Mounties said their investigation had determined Pritchard was last seen in the Red Pheasant Cree Nation area and at several residences on the Red Pheasant Cree Nation around the first week of January.
As a result, investigators were asking anyone who spoke with Pritchard or saw her in the community of the Red Pheasant Cree Nation to call the Battlefords RCMP at 306-446-1720, the RCMP at 310-RCMP, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
The Red Pheasant Cree Nation is about 40 kilometres south of North Battleford.
