A canine cop in Moose Jaw has been reunited with a missing piece of equipment.
On Monday, police said a special ballistic vest belonging to police dog True had gone missing over the weekend after a break-and-enter investigation. Police put out a call asking the public to keep an eye out for the wayward vest, which was considered missing – not stolen.
On Tuesday evening, police in Moose Jaw said the vest had been returned.

“Thank you to the media and community for your assistance during the search,” a police spokesperson said in an email. “We greatly appreciate it!”
Police said the custom vest is a “crucial” piece of equipment which helps protect the dog from injury during “high-risk situations.”
