Saskatoon police investigating murder in Riversdale neighbourhood

A 48-year-old man is Saskatoon’s third murder victim of 2024.
The three killings occurred in a span of two weeks.
In a media release, police said officers responded Saturday at around 12:25 a.m. to a call about an injured person in a house in the 200 block of Avenue I South in the Riversdale neighbourhood.
At the scene, police found the victim, who had been shot. He was taken to hospital, where he died shortly after arrival.
Police didn’t release the man’s name. They said the victim and suspect are known to each other.
