A Saskatoon man has been arrested and charged with child pornography-related offences.
Investigators with the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit executed a search warrant at a Saskatoon home on Jan. 17, 2024.
In a release from the Saskatoon Police Service, police said a forensic examination of several electronic devices was conducted.
Matthew Wood, 36, was arrested and charged with two counts of possessing child porn, one count of making available child pornography, and one count of distributing child pornography.
The investigation is continuing with further charges pending according to police.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the internet.
