Saskatoon police say the man who robbed a grocery store in the city Monday night may also be responsible for an armed robbery in November.
In a media release Tuesday, police said that just after 6:30 p.m. Monday, patrol officers responded to a report that a man had walked into a grocery store in the 1100 block of 11th Street West, pointed a gun at staff and demanded money. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was hurt during the incident.
Police say investigators think the same man also robbed a business in Saskatoon on Nov. 4. In that instance, the suspect was carrying a gun and bear spray.
The release didn’t say where that robbery occurred.
According to police, the suspect in Monday’s robbery was wearing a black Co-op jacket, jeans, black shoes, a black toque and a black facemask.
Anyone with information on either robbery was asked to call Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
