Police in Saskatoon arrested a 38-year-old man on Monday after he allegedly threatened and robbed a woman at gunpoint.
According to police, officers were called at a home on Northumberland Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. The victim, who told police she was sitting inside her vehicle when she was robbed, also told officers the perpetrator was inside a nearby home.
She was treated for minor injuries, police said.

The police Tactical Support Unit was called to the scene, and officers managed to convince the people inside the home to come out, including the alleged robber.
“A search warrant was subsequently granted and executed on the residence, where multiple firearms including a sawed-off rifle, sawed-off shotgun and a homemade zip gun were found,” police said in a statement.
The 38-year-old man – who police said was acquainted with the victim – is now facing charges of armed robbery, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and uttering death threats.
