A 29-year-old man from the Montreal Lake Cree Nation is facing a murder charge.
According to the RCMP, officers were called to a home on the Cree nation early Sunday morning where they found an injured man, who was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

He’s been identified as 41-year-old Kevin Stewart, the RCMP said, and his family has been notified of the death.
At the scene, police arrested 29-year-old Walker Smith. The RCMP said after an investigation by its major crimes unit, Smith has been charged with second-degree murder and uttering threats.
He’ll remain in custody until a court appearance in Prince Albert on Tuesday, the RCMP said.
