A tour bus that crashed on the Trans-Canada Highway near Wolseley on Wednesday morning was carrying members of Shania Twain’s concert crew.
According to The Canadian Press, Twain’s management company, Maverick, confirmed that members of the singer’s production crew were on the bus.
A witness who described the aftermath to 650 CKOM said the tour bus was on its side in between the driving lanes of the highway.
The stretch of road between Wolseley and the Manitoba border was closed for much of the morning due to icy road conditions. It reopened around noon.
According to an update from the Indian Head RCMP, 13 people were taken to hospital for treatment after the crash, though none of them suffered injuries that were believed to be life-threatening.
The crash is under investigation by the RCMP.
Twain is set to perform Thursday evening at Saskatoon’s SaskTel Centre as part of her “Queen of Me Tour.”
