A new market is set to open at Saskatoon’s River Landing this spring.
Gather Local Market is set to open on March 30, and is currently accepting applications for vendors.
According to Ideas Inc., the company that will manage the new market, the facility will offer a year-round indoor marketplace along with a seasonal farmers’ market running from May through September.
“Our vision for Gather Local Market was to create a unique social space with inviting, inclusive opportunities to connect,” Depesh Parmar, executive director of Ideas Inc., said in a statement.
“We’re proud to showcase Saskatchewan’s entrepreneurial spirit and some of the province’s most beloved brands.”
The indoor market is expected to operate six days a week, with nearly two dozen vendors and an in-house bar serving locally produced drinks.
Among the confirmed vendors are Botté Chai Bar, Lucky Bastard Distillers, Rebellion Brewing Company, SaskMade Marketplace and Spring Creek Gardens.
Applications for vendor spaces can be found on Gather’s website.
