Canadian actor Matthew Perry has reportedly died by drowning at the age of 54.
The well-known ‘Friends’ actor was found dead at a Los Angles-area home on Saturday, according to multiple reports.
Law enforcement sources have confirmed the death to the Los Angels Times, TMZ and other publications.
Perry was reportedly found in a jacuzzi at the home, and no drugs were found at the scene.
The home was said to be Perry’s.
Sources to the publications said no foul play was involved and initial reports maintain first-responders received a call about cardiac arrest.
Perry recently documented in his years-long struggle with substance abuse in an autobiography.
Born in the United States, Perry was raised in Ottawa where he attended elementary school with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. His mother was a journalist and spokesperson for Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.
As well as his ‘Friends’ fame, Perry had movie roles in ‘Fools Rush In,’ ‘The Whole Nine Yards,’ ‘Serving Sara’ and ’17 Again.’
