Saskatoon police are investigating the city’s ninth homicide of the year after a man was fatally injured Saturday morning in the Massey Place neighbourhood.
Police were called shortly before 6 a.m. to a residence in the 100 block of Mackie Crescent after it was reported a man was injured in the backyard.
Officers located an injured 38-year old man. He was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.
The police major crime unit and forensics are leading the investigation.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation was asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
