A 46-year-old Strasbourg man was arrested Saturday for alleged sexual offences involving a minor.
The RCMP said in a news release that it received a report about suspicious activity occurring at a residence in Strasbourg.
The Mounties said as a result of their investigation, a search warrant was executed at the residence and a number of devices were seized.
“Investigation determined that messages of a sexual nature had been exchanged between an adult male and someone under the age of 16,” the RCMP added in the release.
The man has been charged with child luring, invitation to sexual touching, arranging a sexual offence against a child, and possession of substance for the purpose of trafficking.
The Mounties did not release the man’s name at the time of publication to protect the identify of any youth victims.
He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Monday at 9:30 a.m.
