Major fire engulfs multiple homes, vehicles in Moose Jaw

Firefighters in Moose Jaw were battling a major fire early Saturday morning.

According to the Moose Jaw Police Service, officers and firefighters were called to the 1400 block of Ninth Avenue N.E. for a report of a large fire Saturday morning.

“Upon arrival several residences and vehicles were engulfed in flames,” the police service said in a statement issued just after 2 a.m. Saturday.

According to police, firefighter remain on the scene battling the blaze.

“The public is asked to avoid the area while firefighters continue working to extinguish the fire,” the police service added.
