Mounties have identified the man they say is responsible for an assault and two incidents of gunpoint threats on the Big River First Nation.
Earlier this week, the RCMP notified the public of an increased police presence in the area following an assault on Monday that left a man hospitalized with serious injuries.
Police said the same suspect later approached two homes on the first nation on Monday and Tuesday, where he threatened people with a gun.
On Friday, police said a Saskatchewan-wide warrant had been issued for 23-year-old Tristan Clay Whitefish, a resident of the Big River First Nation, and police are working to track him down.

Whitefish was described as about 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds. He has dark hair and brown eyes, police said, as well as facial tattoos at both temples.
“If you see him, do not approach him and contact police immediately by calling 911 or report a tip anonymously to Crime Stoppers: 1-800-222-8477,” the RCMP said in a statement.
