A wide variety of music will complement the fall colours in Regina’s Wascana Park this weekend.
The Wascana Busker Festival is running at Wascana Centre on Saturday, and 14 Saskatchewan performers in styles ranging from rock to bluegrass are set to play at the outdoor event.
The performances will be held on the Queen Elizabeth II East Lawn and North Shore Landing starting at 11 a.m. and running until 7 p.m.
The Provincial Capital Commission, which is hosting the event, said performers are paid, but donations from the audience are also accepted in the true spirit of busking.
“Treat yourself to a Saturday in the park with free entertainment, delicious food options and Regina’s most iconic and beloved park space that will showcase the changing seasons,” Jenna Schroeder, executive director of the capital commission, said in a statement.
Refreshments will be available for purchase during the shows, thanks to local food trucks Absolute Zero and Benny’s Bistro.
The Wascana Busker Festival has been running since 2021.
