Saskatoon firefighters helped get two people, a dog and three snakes – yes, snakes – out of a house fire that broke out Monday morning.
According to the Saskatoon Fire Department, firefighters responded to a house fire on Morris Drive at around 2 a.m., and flames were coming out the roof of the home by the time they arrived.
The fire department said the three snakes in the house were pythons, but didn’t say how large the reptiles were or whether they were difficult to rescue.
In a statement, the fire department said the heavy flames made the work challenging, but the fire was brought under control at 3:26 a.m.
There were no injuries reported, and the damage was estimated to total $200,000.
