The Mounties are asking people in Saskatoon to keep an eye open for a suspect wanted in connection with a case of attempted murder.
According to the RCMP, officers got a report about a shooting at a home in Prudhomme on Wednesday night.
“Initial investigation determined an altercation occurred between two adult men. A firearm was discharged and one of the men was injured. He was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“The other male left the scene in a vehicle.”
That vehicle was found abandoned near Wakaw early Thursday morning, the RCMP said.
Police said 34-year-old Myles Has, a resident of Saskatoon, has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault, along with weapons charges.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest, and the RCMP said police are working to track him down.
Has was described as 5-foot-10 in height and weighing 250 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who spots Has was urged not to approach him, and to contact police immediately.
