Traffic on Wanuskewin Road is heavily congested after a semi collided with a traffic light at the intersection of 71st Street.
According to police, a wide-load semi took down the traffic light Wednesday morning, and city workers will be making repairs as soon as they can.
“Traffic is heavily congested, particularly for southbound traffic entering the city and motorists are asked to avoid the area until further notice,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“An update will be provided upon removal of restrictions.”
Police did not say whether any injuries had resulted from the crash.
