10:00 – The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF) is calling the new policy for seeking parents’ permission for students to change their preferred names and pronouns dangerous. The STF feels that not having meaningful consultation from experts in education doesn’t help the students. Samantha Becotte, the President of the STF, joins Gormley to explain how teachers will handle this new policy in the school year.

11:00 – The Regina Sports Hall of Fame has announced the 2023 class inductees. A number of great people are part of this class, including Rob Vanstone, Saskatchewan Roughriders historian, and he joins Gormley to share his thoughts about being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

11:30 – The working-from-home debate has taken another turn, with new research showing a dip in productivity from full-time staff. It shows productivity has dropped as high as 20% by employees working from home, which is pushing companies to have workers back in the office by September. With the growing list of reasons to head back to the office is it time for companies to make it official and make workers come back in the office?
12:00 – The Remai Modern has a new exhibition called Canoe. It explores how the birchbark canoe was an essential method of transportation for Indigenous people. Kelly Tolley is the Program Guide leading the project, and Pinock Smith is an Algonquin canoe maker from the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg Nation. They join Gormley to discuss the exhibit and what it takes to build a canoe.
