Have you ever woken up on the wrong side of the parking lot?
A man catching a few Zs in a parking lot on First Avenue North didn’t take kindly to a wakeup call from security guards Monday morning.
According to police, the drowsy 33-year-old was discovered just before 6:30 a.m., and when he was woken up, he proceeded to attack one of the guards, causing minor injuries.
Police said the 37-year-old guard managed to detain the sleepy suspect until officers arrived on the scene.
According to police, a search of the suspect revealed two knives and a collapsible baton, along with methamphetamine and hydromorphone.
He’s now facing charges of assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
