A 26-year-old man found himself in handcuffs Monday afternoon after allegedly stabbing another man on Sunday evening.
According to police, officers were called to the 300 block of Avenue C South for a reported stabbing at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. When they arrived, the officers found the 32-year-old victim on the sidewalk, and he was taken to hospital for treatment of a life-threatening injury.
Police said the man they allege was responsible for the attack fled on foot, but was arrested Monday just after noon.
He was initially charged with aggravated assault, but in an update sent later on Monday police said the 26-year-old’s charge was upgraded to attempted murder.
