10:00 – The City of Saskatoon has wrapped up another special budget meeting to find ways to reduce the funding gap of more than $70 million in 2024 and 2025. Those gaps have been reduced to $23.2 million, which would result in a 9.96 percent in 2024 and 6.17 percent in 2025 property tax increase. Many organizations have suggested options for the city, including the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, with a seven percent cost reduction across all departments and city-funded agencies. Jason Aebig is the CEO of the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce and joins Gormley to get his reaction to the latest budget update.
