A caller to the 980 CJME newsroom said he had seen SWAT vehicles with their flashing lights activated heading along the Trans-Canada Highway and up Highway 10 in the direction of Yorkton.
“Yorkton RCMP along with additional Saskatchewan RCMP resources will be in the community for an undetermined amount of time and are asking residents to stay clear of the area,” the Mounties said in their release.
The RCMP said it would notify the public if there was an increased risk to public safety.
