Warman’s Central Street near city hall was temporarily closed to drivers Thursday after a vehicle reportedly crashed and flipped onto its roof.
Eric Busse, a communications liaison and executive assistant with the City of Warman, said he heard the crash happen.
“It sounded like the lid of a big, metal dumpster closing. It just sounded like metal on metal,” he said.
Busse said he didn’t think much of the sound until he looked outside and saw a vehicle on its roof.
The road was opened to traffic again Thursday evening.
Gary Philipchuk, mayor of Warman, said he’s still trying to get more information on the situation.
He said he learned the city’s first responders made it to the scene quickly and there were no major injuries.
“I’m very proud of our first responders, how they reacted to this,” he said, also noting his concern about the incident.
650 CKOM has reached out to the Warman RCMP for more details.
Jessica Murphy, manager of media relations with the Saskatchewan RCMP, said she is “gathering additional information” about the incident.
Attention residents – the scene is now clear.Thank you.
