A Saskatoon apartment caught fire Thursday morning in the 200 block of Avenue P South.
The Saskatoon Fire Department received the call at 6:15 a.m., and the blaze was brought under control by 6:40 a.m.
One truck, one ladder, a battalion chief and three engines were sent to the scene, and firefighters said flames could be seen on the main level of the apartment.
An adult was in an apartment suite when the fire first started and suffered burns. They were treated at the scene and later taken to hospital in an ambulance, the fire department said.
The total damages from the fire were estimated at $50,000.
Saskatoon’s fire investigator and a Saskatoon police arson investigator are looking into the cause of the fire, which has not yet been determined.
