A Saskatoon school was closed Wednesday morning as police conducted an operation in the 200 block of Avenue S South.
The Saskatoon Police Service said in a release that “a school in the area” had been closed, but didn’t identify it. The school in that neighbourhood is Pleasant Hill Community School.
Officers at the scene could be seen sheltering behind their vehicles with their guns drawn.
Police asked the public to avoid the area until further notice.
