Cop car crash: Two Saskatoon police vehicles collide

It may not have been like the epic cop car crash in The Blues Brothers, but two Saskatoon police vehicles were involved in a minor collision Tuesday morning.

According to police, the incident happened at around 11 a.m., in the Pacific Heights neighbourhood.

Police said a patrol officer was flagged down and told about a bicycle theft in the 500 block of Vanier Crescent. The officer saw the person taking off on the bike but, while responding, hit another patrol vehicle as it turned a corner.

An unoccupied, parked vehicle also was hit during the collision.

Police said no one was seriously injured in the crash. The person on the bike wasn’t located.
