Police in Saskatoon have located two persons of interest who are believed to have information about a 2022 shooting that sent a 15-year-old girl to hospital.
According to police, the victim was walking in the vicinity of 20th Street West and Avenue Q South along with her family last November when a white sedan with multiple people inside pulled up next to her. Someone inside the vehicle shot the girl and the car took off down 20th Street.
The girl was taken to hospital after the shooting, but her injuries were not considered life-threatening. Police later released photos of the suspected shooters’ car.
On Tuesday morning, police said officers want to speak to two persons of interest in the case, who are “believed to have information to offer investigators.” Early Tuesday afternoon, police issued an update saying both people had been in contact with investigators from the police service’s Serious Assault Unit.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation was urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
