As the first-round WHL playoff series between the Saskatoon Blades and Regina Pats shifts to the Queen City, the rivalry continues to heat up.
On Tuesday, a billboard sporting the slogan ‘Go Blades Go’ was spotted in Regina on Saskatchewan Drive just west of Albert Street.
It’s not often that a visiting team purchases billboards in the cities to which it travels, but anything goes during the playoffs — especially since Saskatoon is down 2-0 in the best-of-seven series.
The Blades confirmed they were the ones behind putting the billboard up ahead of Game 3.
It’s yet to be proven if it will be the spark that’s needed for the Blades, as Game 3 goes Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre.
