A budget that carries new inflation debt and taxes that Canadian families will feel the impact for years. 10:00 – Japan has lifted a 20-year restriction on Canadian processed beef all from the risk of mad cow disease back in 2003. As Canada is the second-largest exporter of beef and veal to Japan and this could impact the industry with restrictions lifted.  Grant McLellan, CEO of Saskatchewan Cattleman’s Association joins Gormley to discuss what this means for the industry.

11:00 –  A new research study has been released looking at how Saskatchewan can build better long-term care homes. As the government plans for more long-term care homes the time is now to improve on them. Elizabeth Pywell, a University of Saskatchewan health studies graduate who led the report, joins Gormley to explain how Everyone will benefit from this proposed change and improve quality of life

12:00 – When it comes to the new budget the NDP are looking at this as a victory for Canadians offering expansion in health care. Daniel Blaikie NDP Finance Critic and MP representing Elmwood-Transcona joins Gormley to explain how this budget is a win for Canadians.
