The Saskatoon Fire Department had a busy Saturday.
It responded to two house fires in under an hour.
The first was in the 300 block of Carleton Drive for a report of a structure fire at around 12:40 p.m.
Three fire engines, one ladder truck, one rescue unit and a Battalion chief.
The first crew that arrived to the scene found that the home was fully engulfed in flames.
It was then identified that heavy flame was at the back of the home.
An exterior fire attack was initiated and utilities were shut down for safety.
A fire investigator was requested and release crews were sent in for support.
Nearly an hour later the Saskatoon Fire Department received another call for a fire at multi-unit complex.
Three fire engines, one ladder truck and a Battalion chief were dispatched.
Saskatoon Fire said alarms were ringing for that fire but an evacuation did take place.
The fire was then located in the bathroom and was quickly extinguished.
It is unknown if there were any injuries at either of the fires or the extent of the damage.
