It’s a slogan the Lethbridge Hurricanes maybe should have said more than once on Saturday night.
It comes after the Saskatoon Blades defeated the Hurricanes 5-1 during Saskatoon’s Nickelodeon night, when the team wore Paw Patrol-themed jerseys.
It was the Blades’ fourth consecutive victory and the team hasn’t lost since earning a spot in the 2023 WHL playoffs last Saturday night.
Saskatoon spread its offence through each period. Charlie Wright opened the scoring in the first period on the power play after a nifty pass from Jake Chiasson.
The Blades opened up the floodgates in the second, though, with goals from Chiasson, Jayden Wiens and Egor Sidorov to make it 4-0.
Blades captain Aidan De La Gorgendiere made sure the lead was too insurmountable for Lethbridge to come back after finding the back of the net early in the third period.
Tristan Doyle spoiled Ethan Chadwick’s chance at a shutout by scoring with just over a minute left in the game to put Lethbridge on the board. But it wasn’t near enough as Chadwick finished the night with 19 saves and the victory.
Chiasson was named the game’s first star, Wright claimed the second and Chadwick’s effort earned him the third.
Next up for the Blades will be a trip to Regina to face Connor Bedard and the Pats on Sunday afternoon (puckdrop at 4 p.m.), making it Saskatoon’s third game in three days.
The Paw Patrol jerseys worn during Saturday’s game will be auctioned off, with proceeds supporting the Children’s Miracle Network.
