Flights to and from Toronto from Saskatchewan’s two largest cities are being affected by a winter storm that’s expected to hit Ontario’s capital.
On Friday afternoon, WestJet and Air Canada cancelled flights from Toronto into both Regina and Saskatoon that were to arrive late Friday night. Flights headed for Toronto from Regina and Saskatoon on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning also were cancelled.
Environment Canada said snowfall of between 20 and 30 centimetres is expected Friday evening into Saturday morning in the Toronto area.
“A major winter storm is in the forecast,” read a warning on the Toronto Pearson website. “Delays and cancellations are expected, so please check your flight status with your airline. “
