Saskatoon’s winter festival has postponed the fun until the weather warms up.
Organizers with Winter Shines announced on Tuesday afternoon the outdoor activities in Friendship Park will be closed until further notice.
Saskatoon along with most of the province is under a blanket of extremely cold air which prompted Environment Canada to issue warnings due to windchills below -40 C.

The festival’s indoor events are still going ahead as planned including the celebrity chef soup cook-off at TCU Place on Wednesday evening.
The festival is scheduled to run through until Saturday.
