A 37-year-old woman accused of acting as an accessory to murder after the fact will remain in jail until her next court appearance.
Crystal Rose Lafond did not appear in person in Saskatoon Provincial Court Wednesday, and her case was adjourned until later in the month.
Lafond’s co-accused, 43-year-old Derek Thomas Caron, is expected to appear in court Thursday.
Derek Caron is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of 44-year-old Jessica Caron.
According to court records, the murder is alleged to have happened on or about Feb. 1, which was six days before police found the victim’s body on Range Road 3062 near the intersection with 11th Street West.
According to their Facebook pages, Derek Caron and Jessica Caron were married.
