A 46-year-old Saskatoon man who allegedly was drinking at a bar that was closed is facing a charge of breaking and entering.
According to Saskatoon police, officers responded Sunday at about 11 p.m., to Cut Casual Steak and Tap in the 400 block of 21st Street East for a reported break-in.
Police said security cameras showed a man inside the business who had tried to barricade himself in — and he appeared to be drinking liquor from the bar.
When officers got inside, they found the suspect hiding in a storage room. Police said he was arrested with the assistance of a police dog and suffered minor injuries during his arrest.
Police said paramedics treated the man for the dog bite after he was placed in police cells.
