Charges are pending against two people after a police investigation closed a section of the Yellowhead Highway for several hours early Wednesday.
For safety reasons. RCMP closed Highway 16 in both directions at Waseca around 11:00 p.m.
Mounties arrested two people after deploying a spike belt to stop a vehicle which had fled from police.
The highway was re-opened around 3:00 a.m. RCMP said more information about the investigation would be released later today.
