The Saskatoon Police Service’s Serious Assault Unit is investigating a shooting that happened Thursday evening in the 100 block of Avenue O South.
According to police, the 18-year-old victim was found by officers at the scene at around 7 p.m. and was taken to hospital. The victim’s injuries were “consistent with a gunshot wound,” police said, but weren’t considered life-threatening.
“No arrests have been made currently,” police said in a statement, “however police do not believe the incident was random in nature.”
Anyone with information on the shooting was urged to get in touch with police or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
