Police officers in Saskatoon were kicked and bitten by an intoxicated man on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, officers were called to 23rd Street East after reports of a disturbance. When they arrived, police said officers found a 28-year-old man carrying drug paraphernalia on the street, and he appeared to be upset and intoxicated.
“With the assistance of a security guard, police arrested the man for public intoxication,” police said in a statement.
“He became combative, kicking and biting officers prior to being placed in the patrol car and transported to detention.”
The man was charged with causing a disturbance, resisting arrest, uttering death threats and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
