The Saskatchewan RCMP has brought one out of two people into custody after warrants were issued by Correctional Service Canada.
Police conducted a search warrant at a home on Thursday night on the Sweetgrass First Nation where 21-year-old Adam Semaganis was arrested without incident.
During the search, three additional female suspects were also brought into custody on separate outstanding warrants from Battleford RCMP, Regina Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service.
But the search for the second person they intended to arrest was unsuccessful.
The North Battleford Crime Reduction Team is now asking for the public’s help in locating 29-year-old Nakota Pooyak.
He’s described as 5-foot-ten in height, weighing 140 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, the RCMP said, with a tattoo under his left eye.
Pooyak is known to visit the Sweetgrass First Nation and the Battlefords area, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
If you see Pooyak, the RCMP say not to approach him. Anyone with information on Pooyak’s whereabouts was asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
