RCMP are looking to the public after an attempted abduction early Saturday morning east of Meadow Lake.
Police say at around midnight a driver noticed a man lying on the ground on Highway 4.
They then stopped and got out of their vehicle when the man grabbed the driver by the arm and said he had a weapon while pointing to his pocket.
The driver was able to free themselves.
Meadow Lake RCMP added that the driver did not report any injuries.
Police are describing the suspect as a 50 year-old white man with a black beard and a mullet.
He was wearing a red plaid shirt over a green shirt and a black hat.
His vehicle is also being described as an older blue Ford pickup truck with rust on the rear bumper.
Police added that they have patrolled the area where the man was last seen but have not been able to find him or his vehicle.
The public is being asked to lookout for the suspect and if they have any video surveillance around that area, to contact Meadow Lake RCMP.
