The CFL club announced Monday it has signed former Southern Methodist University Mustangs DB Rodney Clemons to its roster.
Clemons spent five collegiate seasons (2015-19) at SMU, playing in 54 games. He recorded 275 tackles, two sacks, seven interceptions, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and two blocked kicks. He led the team with four interceptions in his senior season.
The Katy, Texas product signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NFL draft and spent that season on the Chiefs’ practice squad.
He then spent a portion of the 2021 season on the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad.
