Almost 10 months after Taya Sinclair was found dead and burned in Prince Albert, Prince Albert police have announced an arrest in connection to her death.
Stephanie Halkett-Stevenson was arrested Tuesday in Saskatoon on unrelated matters and now faces a first-degree murder charge.
One day after Sinclair was reported missing, police found her dead and burned on March 15 near the Alfred Jenkins Field House in Prince Albert. She was 24 years old.
Halkett-Stevenson is also charged with aggravated assault, unlawful confinement and uttering threats involving a person other than Sinclair.
